IMPAQTO Capital announces an investment in Muyu Education, an Ecuadorian EdTech company transforming teacher development through AI-enabled feedback and hybrid training. The investment is structured as a revenue-based loan.
Across Latin America, most teachers receive limited support for their professional development. Traditional training is often theoretical, infrequent, and disconnected from real classroom needs—leaving teachers without tools to foster active learning and soft skills in students. The result is persistent educational inequality, particularly in underserved communities.
Muyu Education, founded in Ecuador in 2023, is addressing this challenge by reimagining teacher training. Its hybrid model combines in-person pedagogical coaching with an AI-enabled platform—the Muyu App—that records and transcribes classroom sessions, then delivers personalized feedback and teaching techniques based on real-time analysis. The solution is grounded in evidence-based practices and designed to be scalable, flexible, and tailored to each institution’s context.
In less than 2 years of operations, Muyu has supported over 800 teachers and 100 pedagogical leaders, benefiting more than 16,000 students. Teachers supported by Muyu have seen a notable increase in student-centered teaching practices–from 14% to 34%--highlighting a measurable shift in classroom dynamics and learning outcomes.
“We see Muyu as a powerful example of how technology, when combined with human connection and pedagogical rigor, can drive meaningful change in education,” said Michelle Arévalo-Carpenter, General Partner at IMPAQTO Capital. “What stood out to us was not just the innovation, but the deep intentionality of the team—from day one, impact has been part of their DNA. We’re proud to back a group of entrepreneurs who combine technical excellence with a clear commitment to equity and transformation in the classroom.”
“On the journey to transform the world, the destination matters, but so does who you choose to walk with. Partnering with IMPAQTO has been a strategic decision that is already bearing fruit, and we believe that’s because they truly believe in us and our mission,” said Daniel Crespo, CEO and Co-Founder of Muyu Education.
The investment will support Muyu’s expansion within Ecuador and across the region, while also strengthening its product development and commercial capabilities to reach more educators at scale.
